Carolina Thread Trail The Carolina Thread Trail is a regional trail network that will eventually reach 15 counties and over 2 million people. Simply put, it will link people and places. It will link cities, towns, and attractions. More than a hiking trail, more than a bike path, the Carolina Thread Trail will preserve our natural areas and will be a place for exploration of nature, culture, science and history, for family adventures and celebrations of friendship. It will be for young and old, athlete and average. This is a landmark project. A legacy that will give so much, to so many, for so long.

We Can Smile Because She Lived...
“We can shed tears that Rachel is gone,
or we can smile because she has lived.
We can close our eyes and pray that she will come back,
or we can open our eyes and see all that she has left.
Our hearts can be empty because we can’t see her,
or we can be full of the love that we shared.
We can remember her and only see that she is gone,
or we can cherish her memory and let it live on.
We can cry and close our minds, be empty and turn our backs,
or we can do what she would want........
Smile, open our eyes, love and go on.”

Global warming is threatening our future. Congestion is eroding our patience and our mobility. These are truly interesting times. Looking at these pressing issues; global warming, escalating obesity, increasing congestion - there is one common answer. The bicycle is a cure to much of what ails us. Its is an elegant, yet simple solution to many complex problems. Read More > |
