IMPORTANT!
If you were registered for the 2023 ride, here's what you need to know to complete your deferral.
- On Tuesday, February 20th, you will receive an email from BikeReg with a "Credit Code" equal to the ride fee you paid in 2023.
- Visit the BSG registration page when it opens on Wednesday, February 21st, at 7 am to register for 2024.
- Register for the 2024 ride and apply your Credit Code at checkout to receive your credit.
Please note that the 2024 ride fees remain the same as last year. Therefore, the credit code you receive will cover your registration for this year. However, there will be extra charges if you wish to upgrade to one of our VIP options or purchase additional merchandise, such as our new 2024 kit.
From Humble Beginnings…
From humble beginnings, BSG has grown into the North Carolina High Country’s premier cycling event. Starting and finishing in historic Valle Crucis, home of the Mast General Store, BSG offers incredible scenic views, epic climbs, and some of the best cycling that North Carolina has to offer.
BSG showcases the mountain communities of Watauga and Ashe counties. The ride consists of two routes. A very challenging 95-mile route and a 45-mile route that is shorter on mileage but still big on the challenge. Both routes include epic area climbs, but the signature climb of BSG, Snake Mountain, awaits only the strongest riders who accept the challenge of our 95-mile route.

Valle Crucis Community Park
Post-ride BSG activities will be hosted by the Valle Crucis Community Park this year. As far as parks go, Valle Crucis Community Park is one of the nicest in western North Carolina. With its scenic view of the Watauga River, the park features walking trails, a sheltered picnic area, a basketball court, and there’s even a .8-mile loop for those looking to complete another brick.
BSG VIP Club
VIP Club membership is limited to the first 120 riders that register for one of the VIP Club options. Members will receive several special perks reserved exclusively for BSG VIP Club members. Click HERE for more details.
Registration Transfer Policy
BSG Events, Inc. has a strict no Refund policy. However, registered riders who can no longer participate in the event can transfer their registration to another rider for an additional $50 transfer fee. The transfer deadline is June 18th. Click HERE for more details.
New Streamlined Packet Pickup Policy
Riders who cannot arrive in time for packet pickup can ask a friend or family member to pick up their packet for them. Check out the FAQ section on our Ride Details page for more information.
